Lost your kit instructions???? Below you can find directions and updates.

This is a universal fit kit, depending on the make and model of your refrigerator, some trimming of the pvc plenium may be required. Most installations required the refrigerator to be slid out. If your unit has both a removable upper and lower vent, such as found in some toyota's, roadtreks, and airstreams, the kit can be installed thru the top vent. Conventional travel trailers, 5th wheels, and motor homes usually have to have the refrigerator pulled out.

General instructions to pull a refrigerator:

Shut off all propane at the tank. Remove the fuse for the refrigerators 12 volt system or disconnect the 12 volt coach battery. Disconnect the propane line at the refrigerator, use 2 wrenches to prevent twisting the line. Disconnect the 12 volt wires on the rear of the refrigerator. Locate the 2 steel "feet" at the bottom rear of the refrigerator, sometimes their are screws going thru the legs. Remove the screws.

Go inside coach. On dometics, their is usually plastic plugs in the frame where the door seals contacts, so the door has to be removed. There is a hex bolt on the door hinge, remove the bolt, tilt the door towards you, and lift up. Often there are shims on the bottom pin, keep the shims in place. Once the door is removed, use a small screwdriver and pop out the plastic plugs. There are screws behind the plugs, remove them. On most norcolds, the door does not need to be removed, the plastic plugs are visible in the frame around the refrigerator.

Using a utility knife, cut the silicone under the bottom front of the refrigerator. Go back outside and push the refrigerator out part way. Locate and follow the 120 volt power cord, unplug it from the outlet located in the refrigerator compartment. Go back inside and pull refrigerator out of the compartment.

Kit installation

Some roadtreks with the dometic 2300 series refrigerators have a offset foampack on the rear of the refrigerators. These usually can be identified by the location of the controls. If your controls are located on the top of the refrigerator, you have a offset model. You have to cut off 3" off of the rear of the plenum (flat side) and attach around the condenser fins with mechanics wire (see above photo)

Other dometic models have a flat back foam pack and no trimming is needed. Locate the condenser (found on the top rear of refrigerator, tubing with fins)  You will see 2 screws on each side of condenser. Remove screws. Screws go thru a flat plate that is attached to the fins. You want to slide the back of the plenum under the plate. Slide up until your contacting the bottom of the fins. Replace screws.

Take the wire harness out of the kit box, and open up the 2 hose clamps. Slip clamps over the boiler tube where it exits the round boiler insulation pack. Put the clamps back together but leave loose. Locate the thermostat thats attached to the wire harness. You will see a small bracket with 2 ears on the thermostat, you want to clamp each ear with a hose clamp (see pic below) Next locate the 2 wire connectors on the harness. Plug fan into these connectors. These are keyed and can not be mixed up. Now take the long end of harness (the end with yellow fuse holder) and feed down between the lower coils. Slide refrigerator back into it's compartment half way. From outside, plug the refrigerators 120 volt plug back into the outlet. Slide refrigerator all the way into it's compartment. Replace all mounting screws.

Locate the 12 volt powerpoint on rear of refrigerator. Hook up factory wires to powerpoint ( red is positive) along with kit wires. Installation is complete.
